School closings

School Closings and Early Dismissals

All school closings, delayed openings, and emergency early dismissals will be announced over radio stations WVPO (AM 840), WSBG (FM 93.5), WRNJ (AM 1510), WNNJ (FM 103.7).  You may also call the school and press "0" for the main menu and then press "7" for school announcements.  School Closings, delayed openings, and emergency early dismissals will also be posted on this site's homepage. 

If school is dismissed early, we advise you to have someone at home to meet your child upon his/her arrival, or to make arrangements for him/her to go to a neighbor.  For Emergency Early Dismissals only:  If you would like to have an email alert at home or work, please click here to be added to our contact list.  Please email from the address at which you want to be contacted.

In the case of early dismissals, please be advised that the school phone lines are usually tied up due to the tremendous amount of coordination that must take place.  Notification to bus drivers and the radio stations also require our most immediate attention.  Therefore, we urge you to make arrangements well in advance, so that whenever the weather appears to be threatening, there will be no need for you to call the school.
