Fourth
Grade
The
Fourth Grade students are making rapid progress in their
goal to learn touch typing. Using the Ultra Key
software, the students practice proper keyboarding
techniques while they try to achieve ten words per
minute with 92% accuracy. As they complete this first
level, they move into Level Two, where they must reach
20 words per minute.
Fifth
Grade
Once again this year the Fifth Grade
students are participating in the Conserve Wildlife
Foundation of NJ Species on the Edge Art and Essay
Contest. Each student selects an endangered species and
completes an art project under the direction of Mrs.
Tate. Then, after researching their species, each
student completes an essay about their chosen creature.

Sixth
Grade
The
Sixth Grade is beginning work on a database in 2007
Microsoft Access. In this project, the students will
compile data concerning book award winners: ten
Newbery, ten Caldecott, and ten of their own book
awards. Much of the data that the children will collect
will be found in the Internet through the American
